Not a fire. Just a very, very old house in Goldfield that is abandoned, slowly falling apart and filled with trash inside. I visit it every time I drive through Goldfield. I am entranced with the structure and the abstract shapes. The fact that it’s somewhat appalling or distasteful never enters my mind. To me, it is a sculpture.
Goldfield was a gold mining town and a HUGE boom town in the first forty or so years of the twentieth century. So, most likely it was a miner who lived there, or someone who served miners.
Love it Merilee

I agree with you Merilee. I always wonder what dreams once lived in these places. What was the thoughts of the residents back in the day.

Can your imagination take you there, can you see them and hear their thoughts, their pains and joys?

Absolutely. I don’t need my imagination… I feel it.
