That is true. We had a billiards table in school, but most of us were too scared to play. We thought we may scratch the felt surface, and that this would invite being caned on the bum by the Irish Missionaries.
So, it was badminton, table tennis, hockey and boxing for me… Plus, a very intense and physical Indian game/sport called kabaddi. That one is intense. I have often had the skin on my forearms almost completely scraped off.

Goodness gracious me!! That is one look of intense concentration! I have played pool just the once in my life!

No no…. it is great fun. Seriously! And it is a super sport to watch. Nowadays the surfaces are much safer than in my time
