Love your work, being an old Santa Fe switchman from Berdoo. My dad grew up in Barstow height of the Depression, then they moved uptown to San Berdoo….He graduated from Stanford and was rewarded with a WW II four year enrollment or a member of the two year draft. Fortunately he could read and type and hence was too important to donate to the Gods of War and instead he was deployed training them at Camp Miami Beach; the hotels of Miami were their barracks…
